Jeffrey S. Davis
Chairman & Founder
Jeffrey S. Davis is the chairman and founder of Mage, LLC. Davis is the architect and visionary for the company’s strategy and unique methodology for organizational change and value realization. His energetic, ‘hands-on’ approach and rare ability to focus on each client’s personal and specific needs has helped build Mage into one of the leading management consulting firms in New England.
Davis works with each client on a personal basis and utilizes his diverse background and unusual flexibility to identify corporate goals and develop a strategy to enhance growth or ensure a smooth transition. Davis’ approach keeps him actively involved with every Mage client and always available to address their needs or concerns. For more than two decades, Davis has worked with hundreds of owners and leaders of emerging and transitioning firms to define their vision and goals and achieve overall success. His expertise includes family business development and transitioning as well as advising executives of growing organizations on all aspects of leadership from initial strategy and organizational design and change to marketing and business plan implementation.
Organizations utilize Davis’ expertise to articulate and successfully execute value enhancement and growth strategies. For some, value creation means positioning for well-managed, rapid growth aligned with market demands; for others, it is obtained by positioning a firm for successful transition, merger, roll-up, or sale.
Internally, Davis is responsible for driving Mage’s own growth strategy. As part of his interest in assisting emerging and transitioning organizations, Davis sits on several private and non-profit company boards, providing strategic and growth strategy. Additionally, Davis is a nationally and internationally sought after speaker, regularly called upon by the media as a resource on managing the challenges faced by organizations trying to succeed in today’s shifting economy.
Before founding Mage, Davis established his reputation as an entrepreneurial strategist, organizational change agent, and marketing and sales expert working for well-known international organizations, including Johnson & Johnson, Avis and Quaker Oats. Davis is a member of the Family Firm Institute and is Chairman of the Board for the New England Jewish National Fund.
Davis did his undergraduate work at Concordia University in Montreal, where he majored in psychology and commerce. He pursued graduate studies in marketing, with a minor in human resource development, from the University of Ottawa.
